I have worked in business analysis for 10 years. I hold a BSc in Computer Science, a PhD in Software Engineering and a DipM (Marketing). The topic of my PhD was the definition of a requirements pattern based approach to improvements in I.T. project delivery which I finished in 2005 at the University of East Anglia.
I am an expert in UML use case modelling, and have published on that subject. Over the years I have become very interested in the reasons why certain projects fail where others succeed. I'm not a great believer in heavy top down methods that seem to cater for everything from construction to IT projects. They seem to be mostly honoured in their breach. PrinceLite is a reaction to a disjointed approach where project management and software engineering are treated as separate activities.

When I'm not doing this, I enjoy sailing, speaking French and playing the clarinet. I don't like the television, but do like films.
